Why Women's Club Lacrosse?
One of the best parts of being a student at Wake Forest is the countless opportunities it offers to get involved. However, this often can be overwhelming for incoming freshmen. If you are looking for a way to compete athletically, travel, stay in-shape (the fun way), and have the support of teammates- Women's Club Lacrosse is for you! We practice 2-3 times a week and have games on weekends. Most of the travel is done locally, providing a great opportunity to get off campus while still leaving you with enough free/study time on weekends. It is a great way to still feel like you are part of a team and continue playing lacrosse! Ok you convinced me.... How do I join? We encourage all women interested in playing to come out! We strongly encourage freshmen to get involved from the start, but always welcome upper-classmen! We will have a booth at the activities fair at the start of the semester- feel free to come by to get more information, join our listserve, and ask any questions! We will post try out times on our website once we get closer to the date. Please bring your stick, goggles, and mouth guard! Feel free to contact us with any questions. Email- [email protected] |
"The Women’s Club Lacrosse Team was the exact balance that I was looking for- I was able to compete at a high level, without having to make the sacrifices and large commitment of a varsity support. I was not only able to continue playing the sport I love, but I felt that I was part of a team again. I have met some of my best friend through lacrosse and I know I could call every single member on the team if I ever needed help. That sense of support has been invaluable to my success at Wake!" |
